Ron Cohen, Deputy General Counsel at Alterra Mountain Company, to serve in the interim while search begins for new President & COO

Sierra Rec Magazine – Olympic Valley, Calif. –  April 12, 2018 – Following eight years at Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, Andy Wirth has announced plans to retire and step down from the position of President & COO of Squaw Valley Ski Holdings.

“It is after careful consideration and reflection that I have made this decision,” said Wirth. “My retirement will allow me to not only spend more time with my family, but focus on some of my passions, including the active support of wounded warriors and environmental causes – advocacy and action. I’m prideful in having worked with this tremendous team and take note of our many accomplishments over the past eight years. From joining forces with Alpine Meadows in 2011 and the deployment of nearly $100 million in transformative capital to advancing the California Express Gondola, a generations old dream of so many, it has been a truly outstanding run.
