Squaw Valley – Located in the Squaw Valley Resort High Camp. From I-80 in Truckee, CA.- Exit at Truckee, onto Highway 89 SOUTH, towards Lake Tahoe/Tahoe City/Squaw Valley.-Follow Highway 89 south 8 miles to the Squaw Valley Rd. Exit. -Turn RIGHT and follow Squaw Valley Rd. to the base of the mountain. -Take the cable car up to High Camp. Hole #1 is next to High Camp, and plays down towards Shirley Lake. Course is open June -Sept. Weekends only after Sept. Weather Permitting. typically. Located at 8200 ft.
North Tahoe Regional Park – Located at North Tahoe Regional Park. – just West of Kings beach in Tahoe Vista. – $3.00 a day fee for this course for non-residents – Local hint – Start on hole 10 to avoid climb to hole #1
Sierra College Disc Golf Course – Truckee Ca.
Wooded course that traverses up and down rolling hills. Elevation change on every hole. Challenging all levels of players. A few short holes with some long ones too. 1st tee is behind main building just up the hill on the right corner. Follow orange stringers on bushes until trails are completed. Fairly easy to navigate. Gate to college entrance only open during school hours. No smoking
Truckee River Regional Park Disc Golf Course – Located on the south banks of the Truckee river, offers great views of the Sierra. 2-4 pin placements per hole.
This course fairways are nicely maintained and the amenities ares are nice here. The signs are informative and have pin placement indicators that help a lot on the couple blind shots. There’s not a ton of elevation in this park, but the small hills on the property are used to good effect to make a couple fun downhill shots.
Sierra Pines Disc Golf Course – Extremely hilly and wooded. Located at Sierra Pines Summer Camp. Course Zigs and Zags up steep mountain side before finishing downhill. Beautiful Alpine area but challenging.
Turtle Rock State Park – Markleville Ca – Great setting with beautiful mountain views. In the heart of Alpine Country towards Markleville. Excellent place for families, great signage and trails. Good elevation change and as one reviewer notes the holes are challenging but not stupid.. Great place to play.
Bijou Community Park – Located in South Lake Tahoe off HWY 50 and Al Tahoe Blvd. – Varied fairways with 100 ft. pines, open mountain meadows and slight elevation changes.
Zephyr Cove Park – Off HWY 50 turn south on Warrior Way at firehouse – In the High sierra on Lake Tahoe East Shore. Features Major Elevation and incredible mountain views. Recommend hiking boots, long pants and 6 fairways are in the manzanita bush.
Incline Village / North Tahoe Lions Club Disc Golf Course – Off Hwy 28 take Lakeside to Southwood Blvd. Then first left onto Incline way.
The course plays through a multi use park using the leftover areas around other activities. This course is very accessible for newer players, it makes a nice complement to the other more challenging and technical courses in the area. About half the course plays through scattered mature trees with no rough and generous fairways. This part of the course offers little punishment for errant shots and ample opportunities for recovery shots after a missed fairway
Indian Hills Disc Golf Course Carson City NV –
Open tee shots with a lot of elevation in play. Be prepared for a hike. Outstanding views of valley and sierras on back 9. Baskets are guarded by 5ft – 8ft tall brush in addition to being placed along the edge of the wash and the edge of the canyon. The course plays through a sprawling open park with beautiful views of the valley and the mountains. This is a shot placement course, you won’t have to shape specific lines, but you do have to work to hit your landing zones. The brush is tall and thick enough that if you’re in the wrong spot you’ll have awkward shots to recover. From Hwy 395, turn west on Mica Drive. Left on Vista Grande. Right on James Lee Park Rd. First tee is between the basketball court and the little league field.
Kirkwood Mtn Resort Disc Golf Course – Kirkwood CA – Open July – October on most seasons. provides spectacular views at one of the top ski resorts in the Sierra. Another course recommend hiking boots. Long Downhill shots are a feature on this course, along with the views, trees and mountain surrounding.
Reno Adventure Park – 3 course here with variety of levels of play.
Blue , Red and Green Courses. a Course for every level of play.
Intermediate course. Portable restrooms on site.
Front 9 w/ 150 ft.elevation drop and return. Back 9 w/ 200 ft. drop and return.

The Ranch – Reno NV – Located in the High Nevada Desert, Dirt and Sagebrush were Wind becomes the great equalizer.
Variety of long and medium distance shots up and downhill as well as into and with the wind.
Several of the ‘greens’ have been picked free of rocks, which is rather cool. Some TLC went into this course.

Lizard Peak Disc Golf Course – Sun Valley, NV
New Course in the Reno region, This is being designed as a Disc Golf Complex. The Reno Disc Golf Association is pouring a lot of energy into this location. Should be ready Nov. 2014 – Located north of Reno/Sparks in Sun Valley Regional Park at 5905 Side hill Drive, north off of 7th St. in Sun Valley.
NORTHERN SIERRA DISC GOLF COURSES
Bogard Work Center – Susanville CA – A nine hole course on a US Forest Service Work Center Compound. Tee pads denoted by two rocks with numbers spray painted on. Located in the gorgeous Lassen National Forest, easy location to find off hwy. Variety of shots and almost never any waiting, you and the the trees on this course.
The Brewing Lair – Blairsden Ca – Fun little 9 hole course, provides challenges because every basket is hidden by trees. Hole #8 a bit of a challenge.
Silva Acres – Nevada City Ca -Course is open by appointment any time. Very clean and and natural setting. 6 acre course with lots of elevation change. call for appointment 818-253-5986. Private Property, but lots of fun shots and a nice variety of holes.
Tony’s Mountain Golf – Grass Valley Ca – Plenty of obstacles and elevation change here. Each hole has multiple basket positions.Play by appointment only (phone or email). (530) 263-3924 This course is hardcore but so much fun. It has everything from huge shots to technical shots, tons of alternates, steep hikes, gnarly elevation shots, its not for the for the weak.
CENTRAL SIERRA DISC GOLF COURSES
Ricks Revenge – Bear Valley Ca. A fun little course with some challenging shots. Of course playing in the mountain off HWy 4 in Bear Valley, who cares. Great location. Lots of trees, 800 ft elevation and the lake for an after game col down. Located about 45 miles from Angels Camp and 35 miles from Markleville.
White Pines Disc Golf Course – Arnold CA. HWY 4 – This course was a High School project by a couple seniors. Excellent scenery. It’s like playing disc golf and taking a hike in the woods at the same time!
Great use of existing obstacles such as trees, rivers, and fences. Some good challenging shots that really force you to control the line of your disc.
Pin placement gets nice and creative. Several different kinds of shots required.
Sierra Pines Disc Golf Course – Twain Harte CA, Excellent use of the Terrain here, Uphill, downhill in and out of the woods. Variety of different throws fantastic scenery and lots of space, no crowds. Even has a few water hazards.Located at the old Sierra Pines Golf Course course will challenge both left and right handed throwers.
Jenness Park Disc Golf Course – Cold Springs CA,. This course is set up for both beginner and advanced throwers. Very wooded course with lots of elevation has two tee boxes for each hole, one for beginners and one for advanced. Course is set up on a christian camp site. need to check in with office before playing. Very nice course. Course is about 2 miles off HWY 108.
Camp Hi Sierra – Long Barn CA – Off hwy 108, this is a private course that if you call ahead you can get on to play. Simple course, bit rustic and a camp environment. Beautiful lush forests.

SOUTH SIERRA DISC GOLF COURSES
Shady Rest Disc Golf Course – Mammoth Lakes CA – South Eastern Sierra’s , The course plays through a nice forest area. No underbrush but plenty of mature trees. Variety of landscape and terrain to cover as it has both uphill and downhill shots. Off HWY 395 take exit to Mammoth Lakes HWY 203. Turn right on Saw mill cutoff across from Mc Donald’s.
China Peak Disc Golf Course – Lake Shore CA,
Beautiful and challenging course in the Sierras. Open only on the weekends. Pay $15 for a lift ticket to the top of the mountain at 8,700 feet and then play down the mountain. Mix of rubber & dirt tees. CRAZY NUMBER OF FLAT-OUT EPIC HOLES: these holes would be signature holes on most any other course, holes where you feel like you’ve committed a crime if you only throw one disc.
Pacific Crest Trail Disc Golf Course – Kennedy Meadows CA,
Located next to the Pacific Coast Trail on a 5 acre property with free camping. Unique baskets made out of whiskey barrels. Good amount of elevation and technical holes. Practice basket available.
