Heavenly Ski Resort – Dec 24- 31st – Heavenly Holidays Continues. – Tahoe’s biggest holiday festival is back. Don’t miss Santa’s Village, ice carving, skating shows, a huge NYE celebration and more.
Dec 26th – Unbuckle Apres Party – (Rate M for Mature) –
Join us for Unbuckle at Tamarack – Tahoe’s ultimate Apres Ski Party! From 3:30-5:30 pm at Tamarack Lodge rolls out the dance floor, dims the lights and brings out a live DJ, Heavenly Angels, swag, food specials and half off drinks! Extend your epic day with us during apres ski at Tamarack!
Dec 27 – Rippero Snow Parade – Children are invited to star in their own parade, as they play music, sing songs, and march through Heavenly Village with Ripperoo, Heavenly’s loveable mascot. The Ripperoo Parade begins at 4:30 pm at the base of the Gondola and ends with hot chocolate and photos with Ripperoo.

Dec 25th – Family Afternoon Snowshoe Tours – Grab the kids and join in our Family Afternoon Snowshoe Tours taking this winter season. These tours are an ideal way to introduce your little ones to the great outdoors in a fun, unintimidating, and friendly atmosphere. The tours are open to all ages and will be an easy snowshoe journey for the whole family.
Dec.26th – Star Gazing Snow Shoe Tours -Take advantage of the dark skies above Northstar on a snowshoe tour and telescopic viewing with star guide and poet Tony Berendsen. The 2 to 2.5 hour guided tour begins at the Cross Country Ski, Telemark & Snowshoe Center at 5pm.
Dec 27 – Advanced Telemark Workshops -Learn how to hone your skills at the Northstar California Weekly Telemark Instructional Workshops
Squaw Valley– DEC 26-31 Ski and Ride with Jonny Mosley
Ski and ride with Chief Mountain Host and Olympic Gold Medalist, Jonny Moseley. Join Jonny on a free 2 hour mountain tour of Squaw Valley or Alpine Meadows. Have our demo center staff find the perfect ski for you that is best suited for the days conditions before heading out on the slopes.

Dec 26- – Moonlight Snowshoe Tours – After the mountain closes and the winter moon rises, experience a snowshoe tour to the mid-mountain Chalet at Alpine Meadows. Enjoy an intimate seated dinner where you’ll be served an Alps-inspired menu with dishes like potato cheese soup, chicken cordon bleu and apple strudel. This unique experience is only available for 50 guests and available during select dates during the winter season.

Santa Shreds at Sierra -After delivering presents all over the world last night, Santa needs some lift therapy so of course he’s shredding his favorite mountain! Keep an eye out for Santa on the slopes today, snap a selfie, give him a high-five and tag all your photos #SantaShredsSierra so we can join in on the fun!
Dec 27th – Apres Hour with The Brass Quintet – After you’re finished rippin’ the roy, join us in the Sierra Pub for Live Music from 2:30-5:30 pm and happy hour specials from 3:30 – 5:00 pm. This apres hour features the Brassworks Quintet! This dynamic 5-piece brass group from the San Francisco Bay Area will rock your ski boots off with hits from the Swing Era, Motown, the Beatles, Dixieland, Holiday Music and Star Wars!
Santa and Penguin Pete will be at Diamond Peak from 11am-1p handing out candy canes and visiting the kids. Come get your photo taken with Santa and Penguin Pete and celebrate the holidays at Diamond Peak.
Kirkwood Ski resort – Dec 27th Ladies Day-
This series is for the Ladies ONLY – Open to intermediate thru expert skiers and riders, this series is about escaping, having fun, developing friendships, seeking adventure and doing something just for you. Throughout the weekend, you will tackle a variety of terrain and snow conditions while working on terrain selection and off-piste skiing and riding. Roem Baur & The Revival will be Rockin’ at the Mountain over the holidays. This is a show you don’t want to miss. Roem Baur is an award-winning singer, songwriter and international touring musician described recently by The Examiner as a local musician “who is seeing his star start to rise”. Roem’s live show has been described as “blowing minds” by Adam Duritz of the Counting Crows and in December, 2013 Roem was awarded the Grand Prize in the “Race to TRI” — a recording and video session at Bob Weir’s (The Grateful Dead) TRI Studios. Roem also serves as a Governor for the Recording Academy (Grammys), is an avid cyclist, home-brewer, and SF Giants fan.
The Acrobag Progression Tour kicks off in Bear Valley just in time for the holidays. Acrobag is the official national olympic ski and snowboard training tour and is a great way to safely learn new tricks. Described as a “great big nice pillowy soft air bag” and a “tool that’s safe for learning,” the AcroBag has helped athletes of all sports reach new limits. Anybody of any skill level can benefit from using the AcroBag. Whether you are on a snowboard or skis or just jumping off a platform; the AcroBag cushions your fall so that you can focus on learning your new trick. Talk about Pure Mountain Fun!!!
