Stunning Raw Beauty Hoovering over Tuolumne

Perched on the Western Slopes of the Cathedral Range, the Cathedrasl Lakes offer the Iconic High Alpine Yosemite Adventure for Visitors.

The Iconic Cathedrals Lakes is traditional Yosemite High Alpine Hike.

The Trail starts out at Tuolumne Meadows, just west of the visitors center and greets each explorer with a 1 mile steep staircase climb into the heart of the Cathedral Range.

Hikers and Backpackers after approx 3 mile hike are greated witht he choice to hike down to Lower Cathedral Lake or to continue up to upper Catherdarl Lake. Both distances from the trail split are similar.

We recommend going to Upper Lake first, then crawling through the Northern shore line to granite ridge between the two lakes. It is a bit off trail but an easy excursion that rewards you with excelent panaramic views of each lake, the Cathedral Peak surrounding Granite points of interest.
