2.5 – 4 hour hike round trip Wapama falls is a must see in Yosemite National Park. Not only do you get a great vies of Hetch Hetchy, but you get to experience a tunnel, as well as a feature bridge that you walk across the base of the waterfall. Great in a summer afternoon for cooling off before your return hike.
This 14oo Ft waterfall has impressive drops in various levels and then at the bridge, it fans out into multiple waterfall features before plunging into the lake, which we understand actually covers 400 feet of the original falls.
A Spring Visit will give you the best waterfall experience, and the other minor falls along the way will be running at that time, however depending on water flow, you will also find wet trail conditions for part fo the hike during spring.
