This day in history for the Inyo-Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest

On April 11, 1958,  U.S. Forest Service Chief Richard McArdle designated 27,000 acres of the Inyo National Forest as the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, with a section named the Edmund Schulman Memorial Grove.
